Project One –Weeping Women. In this work, the surrounding aesthetic obscures the image of the weeping female form etched into the glass of a vessel holding the nurturing water that sustains the blooms. It’s an allegory for failing marriages in which one partner, here the woman, grieves alone. Her purpose is to hold high the magnolias (her children) and contain the water that sustains them all the while hiding her pain within a home front that outwardly appears calm and serene.
