Once, during a committee meeting, I was astonished by the degree of difference between members’ points of view on an issue. After pondering this for while and concluding that our perspectives are influenced by an intricate network of all that makes us who we are, I took up my brush and two hours later gave this picture the title, A Matter of Perspective – the mouse and cat having diametrically opposite perceptions of the situation at hand because they are who they are.
